Lucy Provan is a French and Arabic speaking self-shooting producer director and journalist.

Lucy is London-based and her work has often focused on the Arabic speaking world, looking at issues of gender, and democracy. She is skilled in sensitive access, compliance, duty of care, high risk and working in remote locations.

She is a One World Media and International Women’s Media Fund Grantee. She is a 2020 Edinburgh TV Fest One To Watch.

She works in print, and documentary. She has lived and worked in France, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Sudan and Jordan.

Lucy has also worked as a long term Carter Center Election Observer in Egyptian and Tunisian elections and for the UN and women’s rights NGOs in Jerusalem and Ramallah.
